Triple Barrel

I dreamt I was in a college course (history?) of some kind. For some reason the class involved a demonstration involving shooting firearms of different types with blank bullets. I decided to try shooting a shotgun that had three barrels arranged in a triangle shape. It was a break-action shotgun. At some point I took aim at something near some stairs and fired. It turns out live shells had accidentally been mixed in with the blanks and I actually shot at the stairs, which sustained damage. Everyone freaked out for a minute, but no one was hurt. After class I started walking to my next class through campus. I realized I had taken the shotgun with me for some reason. It suddenly occurred to me that it wasn’t a good idea to be walking through campus with a firearm, so I started back to the classroom I came from to return the shotgun.
