it was the early 1900’s and I was helping a woman end her pregnancy. she was already pregnant and I was helping her take a bunch of birth control pills at once. she didn’t want the baby and also didn’t want her husband to know she was pregnant. she gave birth to it stillborn and then decided she wanted it. she carried and played around with the lifeless infant’s body like it was alive. it was uncomfortable.
