Helping a heart attack patient

Helen and I were eating in a Burger King. A man there had a heart attack. Helen examined him and said the heart attack was not serious but he should rest and be under observation the rest of the day. The family was Mexican and had not lived here long. They didn't have much money so Helen said she would help them for free. We went with the family to their house. It was a long drive way out into the country. We stayed there all day. In the morning, Helen sat with the man and I hung out with the family. There were about six kids. They all spoke English but I had to speak Spanish with the wife and I was struggling. (They were all really excited that Helen speaks Spanish fluently.) After lunch, the wife took the kids out so the husband could have some quiet. He slept all afternoon and Helen and I passed our time cleaning the kitchen. Then we decided to make a dessert. We found a box of brownie mix designed to be cooked in a toaster. We put the brownies in and then started kissing. The rest of the family came back and interrupted us. Helen went back to check on the husband. The wife stayed in the kitchen and kept giving me looks like "good for you!" She helped me with the brownies. The toaster got very hot so she put it in water in the sink. I was horrified but she didn't get electrocuted. She said she did it all the time. Helen came out and said the man was fine. The wife had gone outside for a minute. Helen decided to take the brownies out of the toaster while we waited. The toaster was so hot now, the water in the sink was boiling. Helen got a fork and I could see she intended to stick it inside the toaster to pull the brownies out. I begged her not to but she ignored me. She didn't get electrocuted, either, and I was very relieved. The wife came back and Helen went into the living room to talk to her. I left some cash and a note in the kitchen saying the money was to pay for the brownies and other food we ate. I felt glad that everything was going to be okay for that family.
