Sick and disappointed

I was living back at home and had a college paper to write about a war story. My dad was going to help our group, which included Vince and Mike Cooper. But the night before, I literally couldn't get a hold of anyone, including my dad. I was the only one who cared. Even the next morning, I kept calling people but couldn't get anyone. Eventually, my dad woke up but told me he was sick (probably Covid), and he couldn't really help. I was so annoyed, especially because him getting sick was related to the fact that he was out most nights, and no one knew what he had been doing, so everyone was questioning it. I felt so letdown.
