Child hood dream

I just remembered a reoccurring dream I had as a kid. I was probably like 6 or 7 when I would have this dream. What I remember is I was at this log cabin that my family had bought as a vacation home. There’s a long/skinny drive way that leads to the cabin (like 10 miles long) and it’s deep in the woods. I remember my family wanted to go to the beach or lake and they all get ready really fast and were all in the car. When I got out of the house they were driving away. I ran after the car yelling but they don’t hear me and keep driving. At this point I’m like 8 miles down the drive way. So I have to walk all the way home by myself in the woods when it was getting dark out. Also I’m 6 in my dream so I’m terrified. As I’m walking I can see the darkness overcome the light slowly but faster than it does in reality. It was also like a darkness that started forming behind me and kept growing the more I walked. At this point I have this feeling of absolute dread cause I recognize the dream and know what’s coming. I can see this figure moving in my peripheral vision from tree to tree. When I saw that I started running but my legs are heavy as hell and eventually I can’t run anymore. I turn around and I see the devil come out of the shadows and walk towards me. As he’s getting closer these people appear out of nowhere right in front of him and he kills them in disgusting ways. The one way I can still to this day remember vividly is he grabbed a mans hair and shoved a knife through his head by pushing it through the bone in his nose. The mans scream would always echo in my head and than the devil would grab me by the neck and I’d wake up.
