My daughter had come back to the house to collect some stuff. She said she was staying at her friends house a bit longer and needed some space, but seemed to be caving in a little. She almost rested her head onto my shoulder, but thought better of it and pulled away. I told her that she needed to reflect on her recent behaviour and make some changes before she comes back. She didn’t like hearing this and got up to leave. I spotted her in town, a while later, wearing the most bizarre ensemble. Timberland boots with beige socks pulled over the top(?!) and joggers so baggy, she was revealing most of her bottom. She was holding hands with this girl who I assumed to be her girlfriend but I couldn’t say for sure. These millennial types seem to do whatever these days without rhyme or reason. Next scene; I was playing this board game with my father-in-law. It was similar to ‘Ticket to Ride’ where you have to make different routes but this was with cars instead of trains. The aim of game - the person who makes the longest route wins. My father-in-law was getting really pissed off because I put my car counter on the wrong end of the board (the finish instead of the start). In the game, I had planned to travel from my hometown to Exeter. The game then transformed into a real life perspective. We were in the car (my father-in-law was driving) and we were on our way to actual Exeter. I was sitting in the back, hiding something dodgy in a bag which I didn’t want him to see. I spent the entire journey feeling paranoid, edgy and convinced that he was going to catch me with whatever was in this bag. He kept looking at me in his rear view mirror.
